Understanding Alcohol-Based Hand Sanitizers

Alcohol-based hand sanitizers, including wipes, are effective in killing a wide range of germs, including bacteria and viruses. • Price: While it's important to consider the cost, remember that cheaper options may not be as effective or gentle on the skin.

How to Use Hand Sanitizing Wipes Effectively

To use hand sanitizing wipes effectively, follow these steps:

• Use enough wipes to cover all surfaces of your hands.
• Rub your hands together, making sure to cover all surfaces, including between your fingers and around your nails.
• Continue rubbing until your hands are dry. This should take about 15-30 seconds.

While hand sanitizing wipes are convenient and effective, they should not replace proper handwashing with soap and water when possible. Always follow the advice of health authorities regarding hand hygiene.
