"Which Nail Art Causes Most Damage in Hollow Knight?"

Embarking on a journey through the depths of Hallownest in Hollow Knight can be as much about self-expression as it is about survival. One way players customize their experience is through nail art, which can significantly alter the appearance of your character's nails. However, not all nail art is created equal, and some can have more impact on your gameplay experience than others. Let's delve into the world of nail art in Hollow Knight and explore which ones cause the most damage.

Understanding Nail Art in Hollow Knight

Nail art in Hollow Knight is an aesthetic customization option that changes the appearance of your character's nails. These designs are unlocked through various means, such as finding them in the world, purchasing them from the White Lady, or receiving them as rewards for completing challenges. While they primarily serve an aesthetic purpose, some nail art can also affect gameplay mechanics, making them more than just skin deep.

Damage-Inflicting Nail Art

Certain nail art in Hollow Knight can increase the damage output of your nail attacks. These are particularly useful for players looking to speed up combat and make their way through the game's challenging bosses more efficiently. Here are some of the most damaging nail art options:

• White Nail: Unlocked by completing the White Palace, this nail art increases your nail damage by 50%. It's one of the most powerful damage boosts in the game and is highly sought after by players.
• Grey Prince's Cross: This nail art, obtained from the Grey Prince Zote, increases your nail damage by 25%. It's a significant boost that can make a real difference in combat.
• King's Brand: Found in the King's Pass, this nail art increases your nail damage by 20%. It's a substantial boost that's well worth seeking out.

Other Useful Nail Art

While not directly increasing damage output, some nail art can still be incredibly useful in combat. These include:

• Lumafly's Wings: Obtained from Lumafly in the Royal Waterways, this nail art allows you to briefly fly after a dash, making it easier to navigate the game's many platforms and avoid enemy attacks.
• Shaman Stone: Found in the Shaman's Troupe, this nail art increases your health by 2 hearts. While not directly increasing damage, it makes you more resilient in combat, allowing you to take more hits.

Comparing Damage Output

Here's a table comparing the damage output of the most damaging nail art in Hollow Knight:

As you can see, the White Nail offers the most significant damage boost, making it the most sought-after nail art for players looking to maximize their damage output. However, the Grey Prince's Cross and King's Brand also offer substantial boosts that can make a real difference in combat.
